Forget-Me-Not-Friday: FRANCINE!!!!! + Change

The blog hop is back on which means it is Forget-Me-Not Friday for the orphans listed on Reece's Rainbow.

A while back, I dedicated the month of August as "Elden's Change For A Change" campaign.  I am relatively certain that I am the only person who participated in my own campaign, but that is okay because, as with anything, it starts with one.  On August 31st, I high-tailed it to the bank to count & deposit those pesky little pennies and dimes into Elden's account.  Those coins in my little collection container actually felt like gold as I anxiously awaited the machine to tally up the final number.  Those little jingles do add up and surprisingly to an even number = $10.00

Elden

That is $10 more dollars towards little Elden's adoption grant.  Just think if all of my followers were to do the same?  Oh what a change we could make.  Yes, I am getting a little crazy with the puns :-)

Collecting the loose change was easy.  Well, I did have to hound Andrew to figure out where he tossed those coins (drawers, pants' pockets, dresser, etc).  I will continue to do this each month for an orphan and the month of September is dedicated to . . . FRANCINE!!!!

Francine

Here is a little blurb on Francine: Girl, Born May 2006

Francine has been waiting a long time for her forever family.   She was born with CP, but you can see how well she is doing and how strong she is physically.  She is an orphanage favorite.
From her medical records:  cerebral palsy, spastic diplegia, delay of psychospeech development
From a family who visited with her in November 2010:  I recognized Francine at 16, and we actually met her last November. I included a photo, and although it's not the most flattering shot, she was in the middle of singing in the fall pageant. She was adorable, and Tom and I both fell in love with her. She can walk without assistance, although she is unsteady. But, she was able to follow the dance routine pretty well. She is smiley and very sweet. She waved a lot to us when we saw her during our visits. One of the nannies always took her outside to play with the other kids, and you could tell she is well liked by everyone. Even some of the other kids brought her toys and talked to her during playtime. At the time, I took a photo of her legs to help show her disability, but I didn't see her on RR when we got home. I forgot all about it until I saw her on there today.
From a family who visited with her in August 2010:  "I just wanted to say that Francine is mobile and doesn't let her CP stop her!   She was a very sweet little girl and her face beamed when she smiled!  She has beautiful light blue eyes and dark hair.  I know she would make a wonderful daughter.  If anyone asks about her I'd love tell them more about her. "

Tabitha

As you know, my darling Tabitha, the daughter-of-my-heart is always on my mind.  To know that she has not been listed on the My Family Found Me page just flabergasts me.  I know.  I know.  I say it every week.  Please continue to circle this post around or at least Tabitha's picture.  I just know there is a family who longs to call her their own.  When that happens, just imagine the crazy give aways and fundraising I will be doing to help this family.

Finally, if there is a child on Reece's Rainbow that you would like to be November's Change for a Change, please let me know in the comments.
